• This scheme is a joint development between Servite Houses and the NHS to provide up to date staff accommodation within the hospital grounds.

• The flats consist of 11 blocks of four storey timber frame construction that have inverted central roof pitches. The structural design of the glass block entrance atriums had to consider the interaction between the timber frame structure and the steel work.

• One of the blocks is dedicated accommodation for staff with special mobility needs.

• In the centre of the development is a unique split level reinforced concrete frame administrative office building.

• The development is located within a ground water source protection zone and surface water disposal required risk assessment and implementation of sustainable drainage techniques that paid particular attention to surface water runoff quality.

• A relatively steep sloping site required careful consideration of levels to comply with mobility standards.
