- The site investigation disclosed the presence areas of soft clays so a combination of trench fill and raft foundations were employed to support the timber frame houses.
- Before the site could be developed various highway problems had to be overcome, which invoved changing the site access and designing offsite works under a Section 278 agreement.
- The whole site is a good example of a combined SUDS appproach to surface water drainage, and the porous paved roads were all adoped by Oxfordshire Highways.
